What exactly does HSS mean?
HSS is an abbreviation of 'High Speed Steel'. It is a high-quality steel alloy that is used, among other things, for the manufacture of tools. High-speed steel is significantly more resistant to wear than tool steel (WS). On the packaging of many tools you will find the mention HSS; it means that those tools are made of a high-quality steel. The price of HSS tools is considerably higher than that of WS products, but this ratio is proportional to the qualitative properties.
This 24-piece drill set contains:
- 19 drill bits in sizes: 1 - 10 mm (one size every 0.5 mm)
- 5 additional drills in special sizes: 3.3 / 4.2 / 6.8 / 10.2 / 10.5 mm
- Includes steel storage case
